In-House Engineering Expertise

There are often times that operators of reciprocating compression systems require custom designed and engineered aftermarket parts necessary to tackle one-of-a-kind operational challenges or to improve system performance. One of the unique benefits that Global Compression Services offers to our customers is expert in-house design and engineering for manufacturing these custom parts and components.

With decades of component design and engineering expertise, we utilize industry-leading FARO precision scanning equipment along with Mastercam software to record both laser and GPS data for creating 3D models of existing components. From 3D models we can then generate precise 2D AutoCAD drawings as well, both of which are used as the foundation for developing customized part solutions for our customers. Our engineering team has even custom developed improvements to compressor component designs that have been adopted by OEM brands for use in their own compression system designs.

Along with the ability to develop custom-tailored components and parts for customers, we also have created and continue to maintain a comprehensive library of more than 80,000 curated drawings for custom and OEM reciprocating compressor parts and components. Our extensive archive of engineering drawings ensures our ability to provide a quick and efficient response to customer requests for parts that may be unavailable or in limited supply.
