HOUSTON (June 5, 2025) – Global Compression Services (Global Compression), a leading provider of natural gas compressor equipment parts and services, has opened a new 14,000-square-foot facility in Bloomfield, New Mexico.
This facility will provide sales and services to customers throughout the San Juan Basin, replacing their existing Farmington site in New Mexico. Operations will begin the week of June 9 following the move and the team will be led by Kyle West, the long-time Farmington branch manager with more than 30 years of experience at Global Compression.
Alan Bowen, Global Compression’s vice president of operations, said, “With the move to Bloomfield, we’re looking forward to growing our presence in New Mexico and being closer to our customer base. The new location’s increased shop space and inventory will help us reduce turnaround times and further expedite parts delivery. This facility upgrade underscores Global Compression’s mission to support the natural gas industry through quality compressor parts, manufacturing and repair services in major U.S. shale plays.”
The new location’s increased space allows Global Compression to provide additional services, including small natural gas engine and compressor overhauls, as well as expanded screw compressor overhauls. The facility also has the capacity to hold more parts stock, ensuring faster service for customers. The site will support services and repairs with advanced equipment, including a 5 t gantry crane, two 5 t jib cranes, lathes, a mill and a Coyote blast machine.
